Pirate Tattoo -- About the Artist

About Sasha Merritt - the Artist Behind Pirate Tattoo

Sasha Merritt has been tattooing for more than five years, and has produced excellent works of fine art since childhood. She's completed several university level art courses and apprenticed at San Francisco's well-known Black & Blue Tattoo, gaining a solid foundation in tattooing.

Since then, Sasha has gone on to tattoo at a variety of SF shops, most notably with Laura Vida of Pacific Tattoo. Sasha has toured as a guest artist, appearing at Blue Dragon in Phoenix, AZ; Original Skin in London, England; and 3rd Millenium in Worchester, England. She now is the owner and artist of Pirate Tattoo, a private, appointment only studio in San Francisco.

In addition to her technical skills and knowledge, Sasha is also gifted with a warm personality and provides her clients with a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere throughout their tattoo experience.

Sasha is skilled in many tattoo styles, from tribal to realistic -- check out the Gallery to see her wide range of styles. She is deeply committed to running a safe and sanitary tattoo shop and has been a member of the Association of Professional Tattoo Artists since 1998.
